Server Rules
Read, understand, and agree before connecting. Ignorance of the rules is not an accepted defence.
By playing on London Thames RPC you agree to have read and understood everything on this page. Rules are subject to change — check back regularly.
Staff decisions are final. If you disagree with a ruling, raise it through the correct channels in Discord — not in-game or in public channels.
1 General Conduct ▾
- 1.1 — Treat all community members with respect both in and out of character. Harassment, discrimination, and targeted abuse will result in immediate and permanent removal.
- 1.2 — All communication in OOC (out of character) channels must remain civil and constructive. Personal attacks are not tolerated under any circumstances.
- 1.3 — Advertising other communities, servers, or third-party services without prior written approval from server management is strictly forbidden.
- 1.4 — Impersonating a staff member or another community member — in-game, in Discord, or elsewhere — is a zero-tolerance offence.
- 1.5 — Any form of cheating, modding, exploiting, or use of third-party software to gain an unfair advantage is grounds for a permanent ban with no appeal.
- 1.6 — Do not share or expose the personal information of other community members without their explicit consent.
- 1.7 — All content across community spaces must be kept appropriate. Racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise offensive material in any form is prohibited.
- 1.8 — Follow all staff instructions when issued. Disputes must be raised through the correct ticketing process — not argued publicly in-game or in open channels.
2 Roleplay Standards ▾
- 2.1 — You must remain in character at all times during active roleplay. Breaking character without good reason disrupts the experience for all involved players.
- 2.2 — Fail RP — acting in a manner your character realistically would not — is prohibited and actively monitored by staff. This includes ignoring threats, performing impossible actions, and refusing to comply with realistic scenarios.
- 2.3 — Power gaming — forcing roleplay outcomes on other players without reasonable opportunity for their response — is not permitted under any circumstances.
- 2.4 — Meta-gaming — using out-of-character information (from streams, Discord, or third-party comms) to influence in-character decisions — is a serious offence and will be dealt with severely.
- 2.5 — All roleplay must be conducted realistically and proportionately. Over-the-top, comedic, or trolling RP in serious scenarios is considered fail RP and subject to the same penalties.
- 2.6 — Scene-crashing — deliberately forcing yourself into an ongoing RP scenario that does not involve you — is strictly prohibited. Use common sense about when to engage.
- 2.7 — All active players must have a working, clear microphone. Text-only RP is not accepted during live scenarios. If you have audio issues, step out of the scene until resolved.
3 New Life Rule (NLR) ▾
- 3.1 — When your character dies, you must forget all events that directly led to your death. You cannot seek revenge, return to the same scenario, or act on any information your character would no longer possess.
- 3.2 — After death, you must wait a minimum of 15 minutes before returning to the area or vicinity where you were killed. This timer begins from the moment of death.
- 3.3 — Medical intervention by the London Ambulance Service overrides the NLR. If you are revived in character by LAS personnel, you may continue your prior roleplay, including memories of the scene.
- 3.4 — The New Life Rule applies equally to all players regardless of faction, rank, or role. There are no exceptions beyond LAS revival.
4 Emergency Services Conduct ▾
- 4.1 — All whitelisted emergency service members must conduct themselves with professionalism at all times while on duty. You represent the server's highest standard of roleplay.
- 4.2 — Abuse of faction privileges is a dismissible offence. This includes misuse of emergency vehicles, access to restricted areas, and any roleplay that exploits your whitelisted status for personal gain.
- 4.3 — Emergency service members are expected to respond to active calls during duty hours. Consistent inactivity without notification to your command chain will result in removal from the faction.
- 4.4 — Inter-department communications must remain professional, realistic, and strictly in-character during active roleplay. Personal conversations must use designated OOC channels.
- 4.5 — Do not appear on duty in your faction uniform unless authorised by your chain of command. Uniform discipline is enforced at all times.
- 4.6 — All faction activity is subject to logging and review. Misconduct will be assessed and disciplined jointly by faction command and server management.
5 Criminal Activity ▾
- 5.1 — Robbery, assault, and criminal roleplay must be initiated with a credible, realistic motivation. Random criminal acts without RP context — commonly referred to as RDM or VDM — are prohibited.
- 5.2 — A minimum of two on-duty officers must be present on the server before any armed robbery or major criminal scenario can be initiated. Check before you act.
- 5.3 — Hostage scenarios must be conducted realistically and proportionately. Civilians may not be used as shields purely to avoid consequences, and hostage situations must have a clear, scripted RP purpose.
- 5.4 — Large-scale or group criminal activity must be coordinated within your recognised criminal organisation. Uncoordinated mass criminal activity or lone-wolf chaos roleplay is not permitted.
- 5.5 — Criminal roleplay is subject to all community rules without exception. Repeated misuse of criminal mechanics, persistent targeting of other players, or deliberate disruption of server scenarios will result in a criminal activity suspension.

If something is unclear, ask in our Discord before acting. We'd rather answer a question than issue a ban.
